  • Who will deny that a broken window is a beautiful thing? An architecture of action: connecting the inside and outside, the private and common. Courreges collaborated with the architecture studio Diplomates to intervene upon the iconic 1967 Paris flagship. We staged our debut SS19 show in the store — and let that act leave a mark on the architecture: a runway that cuts through the ceiling; carves into the floor and breaks through the windows – connecting the house to the street.

  • What does the future look like today? If you can’t see a horizon — doesn’t it mean you're falling? Courreges collaborated with the architecture studio Diplomates to intervene upon the iconic 1967 Paris flagship. We staged our debut SS19 show in the store — and let that act leave a mark on the architecture. To square the circle we built a glass walkway into the empty atrium of the building — a bridge into thin air — a horizon over a void. After the show was over we took the bridge apart — and put it back together — as racks for the clothes we showed.
